If you are heading to the lake it will likely be quite nice (if the smoke is out of your area). Temperatures look to get a touch warmer, if not hotter, on Sunday. Expect more sunshine than clouds with only a slight chance of isolated T-storms in western North Dakota.

After a dry start to the month of June, this weekend will bring much needed rain chances to the region. The storm chances start Friday evening with some storms on the stronger side. This starts off in the Dakotas in the afternoon then makes it's way into Minnesota over night.

The eastern Dakotas will have the best chance of any showers and thundershowers on Friday afternoon and into the evening. The front will be sliding slowly through Minnesota on Saturday. I'm seeing more cloud cover and a chance of showers and thundershowers mainly in Minnesota and southeastern South Dakota on Saturday.

Temperatures will warm up quite nicely again ahead of a cold front on Friday. Temperatures will peak in the 80s to near 90 degrees for a large chunk of the region.
